Rains End

Unexpectedly
Rain clouds part, bringing sun rays,
Beams hope of rainbows,
Fog disperses, leaving misted
Blades, petals, skin, fresh with new

A breath is sighed,
Rejuvenated Mère Earth,
Again anointed,
Cleansed by her own tear water;
Creatures rejoice, and breathe deep

Rain Dancing

The Spring rain returns
I wish it warmer to dance
In warmth, as droplets
Paint skin with shimmering cool,
I am eager but it comes,
I will let water
Grow me as a new flower,
Drench my roots and face,
Refreshment in natural
Does return to origins,
Rainwater is source,
Childhood rejuvenation,
Take me back to then,
When plastered skin was pure joy,
And time did stand ever still

Painted Skies

Then, our wish granted!
A day blue with painted skies,
Meant to wander out
Into the natural world,
To find peace again.
The birds will wonder
Why the strange ones will find awe
In land always there,
Simply since their hide is warm,
And no wetness falls from sky.

Unnecessary

The warmth grows between rain showers,
But the foggy nights are easing,
And I see the stars against a blue-grey sky
Not as vibrant as against the pitch black of deeper night,
But this is the way it was back then
And the air is electric with thought
Like back then,
And words paint pictures
Like back then

And those words I can’t speak,
I try to capture with other creativity,
But I hold back still,
As much as I can,
But in another life
Another world
Words will flow free,
And yet for us
still remain
unnecessary

Vernal Equinox

The Vernal Equinox came in,
Like a slow waking from an overslept night,
Yawning and wiping dew from tired eyes,
Then with a silent reminder,
A sudden surprise,
Remembering the bloom that is beginning,
The time for her to start,
Slowly she tends to the matters at hand,
Heists the sun up,
Making light brighter,
Making warmth,
Making days longer,
Sends forth for the birds,
the slumbering bear,
Whispers to buds hiding just below,
Wake my dear children,
And come out of the snow
