Tonight the glow of ripe moon
Shines through closed window panes,
Sends shivers of thought of you over me,
The heavens our beacons never fail to elicit such a response,
Winter snow makes the shine twofold –from ground just as from sky,
Lunar light engulfs my dreamscape,
As I lay me down to sleep,
And dream that you are here with me.

Flight
Here we are,
Prepared to fly,
A feat our ancestors dared not imagine,
How ordinary the deed has become
For simple humans,
Who hurry to their terminals,
With worries of time and mortality,
Overlooking the impossibility that they are breaking,
In flight like angels taken to the heavens,
Higher than the birds and bees,
Far above the maple, oak and evergreen,
Being Gods in their own right,
Using mind to engage in
Flight.
A Star Over a City Sky
City sky is foggy
with light and smog,
Stars are sightless,
But I am not,
I peer above the roof tops,
Knowing what I am looking for,
Evidence of the star that kept my way,
And in the city before,
The star that shines ever brighter uncluttered by urban lights,
Unfiltered,
In the rural open,
But here I seek you still,
And gaze,
determined to spy you,
Sure I will,
Here I can see you
Regardless of the forecast,
Not with my eyes,
But by my heart,
My star need not streak across the sky,
To amaze,
It is a star that moves the body
To an emotion,
With its presence,
A star that is literal and figurative,
In the same moment,
A star that reminds of how small we are,
In such a vast cosmology,
A star that reminds how close we really are,
A star that reminds how we are all made out of its dust particles,
A star that burns
over a city sky.
Visible Star
Stars flood the sky with light,
Whether we see them individually or not,
The stars shine,
The shooting stars blaze across the sky,
They dazzle our heart and mind,
Even when not visible to the eye
On an Evening Canvas
The night encroaches,
The sun is taking its leave earlier,
And earlier,
The night light gems
That decorate the evening canvas
Come into sight,
And I see you again,
I am reminded,
You are still there,
Always.
The Stargazer

Stargazer gaze on,
Find your way on worlds away,
Dream your dream tonight,
Be bold in your night wishes
The light show is for your eyes
