Acceptance & Adaptation

Cocooned,
For fear I may offend
By being,
Pulled self back so far it is inverted,
Into an observer,
Without the privilege of experiencing,
Of getting close,
Of risking rejection,
Out of fear of that very thing,
Will self to dare,
To push boundaries,
Past minimization of difference,
To grasp the splendor of true diversity,
Reaching, teaching modes of
Acceptance and adaptation in
and of my self.

A Jigsaw Puzzle

Putting together pieces of a self in progress,
A jigsaw puzzle,
Becoming more awe inspiring
The more that is accomplished,
Until one can gaze upon the piece in completion,
To proudly state,
“I did that”

Titans

March 16, 2016

We are Titans
Born of and dubbed,
the name.
Meek and small
We may seem
Voices quiet
But we are braves.

Untold stories line
The pages of our minds
tell tales of
the battles waged,
the deeds done,
the monsters wrestled.

We remain stoic,
unknown soldiers,
weighted still; still.

Unnoticed yet,
but standing out;
as titans
our name remains.

Sea Song

My Love
I am breathing still
I thought you should know
Love
I keep moving on
With waves that surge
And Crests that fall
For you

My love
Closer
Stronger
Journey ever longer
I have grown
Wait and see!
Oh the stories we shall tell,
Of two voyagers
Lost upon this raging sea
Ever more,
For you

My love
The wind may howl
The rain may sting
But should it take a day longer
I will be
Still voyaging to
My lost heart,
My love upon
The sea
For water compares naught
To oceans in heart
That pull by moon,
Toward you.
