Firefly Show

Last night I saw you,
All of you,
Lighting up
As if I had never seen such a sight before,
This evening, you are silent in sight,
But I remember your glow,
And for that I am grateful
To have seen such a show;
Grateful for this luminescent gift.

We are Starlight

I am artwork;
We all are.
We are tattooed and pinned
Adorned, pierced, and sculpted vessels
These forms made to reflect
To show the others
The unique glow that we can each feel
That burns from the core,
That peeks out through eyes
Nose, mouth, pores…
Filtering out the contained light;
For our bodies are but glorious lamps
For the starlight
Our selves,
Our spirits,
Our souls are.

Darkest Night

This darkest night,
We long for light,
But wise eyes,
Will see it,
The burning of the ancient flames,
The distant stars,
We gift,
like diamonds,
meeting spots,
for hearts to see,
to feel the love,
that burns there,
still.

Shadow and the Moon

The moon
It tells me I’m not seeing
The whole picture,
Cloaked in shadow,
My fears and uncertainty may be for naught,
I am in the dark without your words,
Without you star,
So I step carefully,
Guided only by the moonlight.

Through the Fissure

When all is dark
Give not in to fear
The dark has stars
That guide the easy,
Light that is still,
Though far away,
Let despair not grip you,
When hope seems lost,
The dawn will still break,
And through the fissure
The light shall spill,
Seeping in and over the day,
Making things clearer,
Making things easier to bear.
