Tarot Deck

Turned a card and found a way,
An image intricately illuminated,
Illuminating in its prescription,
Turned a card and found this way
Turned a card and found a new way,
assessments of past, present, future,
Staring deeply into the picture
Interpretations abound,
“Know thyself” comes to mind,
As I examine the symbols, cups, wands, swords,
Find your way in living,
Cards are meditative mediums,
Bridging with the spiritual that surrounds,
A deck shuffles and organizes the unexamined life,
To investigate within,
To investigate without,
To perceive the seemingly invisible,
The untenable,
That which lights our way without our knowing,
Here a glimpse behind the curtain,
Thins the veil,
A gift of the moment through a prism viewed.

Walking with the Ancestors

I feel you here,
Ancestors,
Wordless you whisper in my mind,
Letting me know I am never alone,
That you reside beside my soul,
Ancestors,
I know you weren’t perfect,
You were human,
Now as spirit,
You are lessons,
Guides,
Wisdom,
Perhaps what I know is not from my mind alone,
But the culmination of your knowledge,
You have been here always,
Now I am just wise enough,
Open enough to see,
Ancestors,
May your continued existence be blessed,
I am grateful for your gifts of presence and wisdom,
As you walk in step with me.

Cycling

< 9/16/2018

I fear ,
I fear
I am cycling

Back into the chaos
That ensnared
Me before,
This time the monsters aren't near,
Or clear,
But in whispers,
I start to hear

Strange mouths
Utter words that seem familiar,
And I read every word
To be about and for me,
I am curious,
And want to know

Alice, do I go,
Sucked down the vacuum
Down, down
Below
