The Pilgrimage

Summer solstice came
As my footfalls returned me here,
And with them,
a great sea-change,
Of my shelled heart,
a cracking
And from it grew,
Bloomed,
Burst forth a greater
Beating vessel,
Capable of holding more,
The conflicting emotions
And complexities of what can only come
For out-growing fear,
Of learning what to take away from lessons learned
From this recent venture home and round again;
This–my pilgrimage.

The Steps

I hear the moth tangled in the lamp
And the clock’s tick tick
Metronome,
And I am left with stray thoughts
Looking for a home,
Trying to delineate
Where things stand,
And how we do
This dance,
Never giving it a name,
And more interestingly,
How we already simultaneously know
The steps.

All of You

In every waking moment

and coloring my dreams.

your human scent floods my senses

and widens my eyes.

You are found.

You are the question, and the answer.

The truth & the mystery.

you make my flight or fight response freeze —

Frozen, I await your warm body

to thaw my motions.

emotion running strong.

Passionate heat courses through my system.

Want, to need– for all of you;

I am yours in all I do.

Cycling

< 9/16/2018

I fear ,
I fear
I am cycling

Back into the chaos
That ensnared
Me before,
This time the monsters aren't near,
Or clear,
But in whispers,
I start to hear

Strange mouths
Utter words that seem familiar,
And I read every word
To be about and for me,
I am curious,
And want to know

Alice, do I go,
Sucked down the vacuum
Down, down
Below
