Taste

If I could hold you

I would match my words with desperate kisses

I would whisper the lines only your eyes know

I would show you

Let you feel

Let you meet

the source of this ache

I would feed your need for these lost lips

God damn, yours

I swear I can still taste

Burning Hunger

I think of him
And the hot sun
On his skin,
I think of him
When the moon grants me
This moment
To feel my thoughts
And walk back my only memories,
And know part of my heart here
Does not reside,

I hunger for my love
Far from here
Far from snow
And foreign waters surrounding
I still hunger for the love
That I call my muse
Without a single word
Uttered,
I long for eyes to match the fire
He ignites with memory and lyrical magic
Conjured by his own muse

I hunger,
And it heats my heart
And sets my body aflame,
I burn of hunger
My love
The hunger never fades

Homeostasis

I want to
climb you
–a tree,

Feel
your branches
Sprouted,
Under me,

Feel
the pulse
of nature,
Inhale the scent
Of your animal skin,

Feel
the texture
of your organic shape,

Sense
the shifts
in your equilibrium,

As you are shaped
And shifted,
To reach
Homeostasis;

In symbiosis,
With me

Desire

Desire leads to suffering
But maybe some desire
Leads to motivation
Toward good
When my motivation is for you
Not to you
I find a burn in my belly
To flourish as a sentient being
Artistically, cognitively,
To be the best I can be.
