The spiral is sacred,
A divine unfolding,
A turning that brings us close,
but never exactly returning to where we have been before,
No, this is always another space, another moment,
This is our journey through life,
Measured by what we know of as “time”,
We spiral, out into who it is we are,
Creating a path that curves
And curls
That tilts,
And teaches us balance
And all the other lessons on the way,
Moving on this spinning orb in the heavens,
That too spirals,
May we individually remain steady,
Flowing around, up and out,
On each our own sacred spiral.

Trust the Process
Before it had all gone south
And wires crossed
I had been on a mission,
Of gratitude
And change,
I forgot my trajectory
Amid complications,
Things turned upside down,
And I came to regret
So much of this,
Yet further reflection makes me wonder
Was this all part
Of the process,
One that is yet complete,
Of the quest I first began?
Trust the process.
Always Be.
Hold me
Again,
Not like before,
Not like then,
Like now,
Like we’re scared,
Like we’re not sure where we’re going,
Like we are each other’s only hopes,
To see it through the pain,
To feel the love we both still harbor,
Let it go,
Let it out,
Whatever you have left is real,
No,
It will never be the same,
Never be like before,
But it will always be.
Man Down
The car broke
But we can fix it,
The heart hurts
But we can heal it,
You and I,
Are we,
We can be it,
It’s not over,
Until we can’t feel it,
You for me,
Me for you,
It’s love,
Despite the challenges,
It’s love in spite of the challenges,
It’s love,
That fights the challenges,
That perseveres,
When all else fails,
That turns the days to years,
We are in the eye,
Of the storm,
I won’t leave you now,
Not when one man’s down,
Not when we’re meant to stand,
Together,
Hand in hand.
Next Moves

Sometimes the opportunities are nowhere to be seen,
Sometimes they are all placed in our lap
At once,
In each case
The next move seems harrowing,
Which move do I make?
What is right?
Which would lead me to destruction?
In any case,
The important move is the next move,
Whatever you should choose,
Never stop
Moving.
What If (The Dream)
She fears the steps,
She must take in becoming,
What if she trips?
What if she falls?
What if her dreams are much to big for her small body?
What if?
What if her what ifs are the wrong inquiries?
What if her dreams are just right for her size,
And the ground should rise up to meet her,
Easing her landing?
What if the scariest part is letting go,
And sliding into the unknown,
What if imagining “what if”,
Is symptomatic of a dreamers urge to wonder;
That which should ne’er subside?
Unless the dreamer loses the very gift of the dream
