Last night,
The moon,
Fully naked,
In all its glory,
Stunned my sight

As I drove a winding country road
Turning
‘Round a bend,
abruptly,
there it was

Appearing,
As if a coy child,
Awaiting
To
Surprise!

I do not wonder,
Why we came to worship dieties,
Of lunar control,
How else imaginable
could new minds
concieve
of such a spectacular image
Of heavenly beauty,
Of wonder,
Of the possible truths of its purpose
or origin,

I am humbled in my size
and finitude,
As its magnitism
Becons attention
From my gaze,
My mind,
And body.

The tides in me
Move in and out
At its command
From the other side of the globe,
You surely feel it too.
