I want you close
But it’s selfish to keep you
All to myself
I am guilty
Of loving you so much,
Fearing I will lose you,
Or that I’m being tricked
Into the antithesis
Of everything you are
Please forgive me
For my doubt, fear
A need to verify that
What I am worshipping
Does not wish to see ill
To you
And all the wonderous things
You’ve made
Proof
8.28.18
Pounded and primed,
We are
Rot-proof.
Clenched
8.27.18
I hurt for you
Wanting to love you
Both with clenched fists
Littles
8.27.18
The littles were a clever clan
They spoke of things they didn’t know
Knowingly, of all
things
Bumper Stickers
“Fuck off,
We’re full!”
Reads the bumper sticker,
The Stars and Bars there too
Built Ford tough,
Here in
Miles,
And miles of
wide
open
space,
Middle of nowhere,
USA.

Homeostasis
I want to
climb you
–a tree,
Feel
your branches
Sprouted,
Under me,
Feel
the pulse
of nature,
Inhale the scent
Of your animal skin,
Feel
the texture
of your organic shape,
Sense
the shifts
in your equilibrium,
As you are shaped
And shifted,
To reach
Homeostasis;
In symbiosis,
With me
