“The path isn’t a straight line; it’s a spiral. You continually come back to things you thought you understood and see deeper truths.”

What I’d Do
We fuss and we fight
But what you wouldn’t do for me,
You move heaven and Earth,
Plow the world to rescue me,
Damn what you wouldn’t do for me,
And we’re messy,
But beautiful,
And you would give everything,
You vowed to once,
And you do it again and again,
God what you wouldn’t do for me,
And all I can say to even compare,
To repay your everything
Is damn I love you,
And tell me
And I’ll do anything too,
For you
Full Moon Energy
The moon is full now
You pulsate through my veins
Even miles away
Knows Your Name
And then come moments
When the gathering
is as good as the food,
When community need not look the same,
Where yesterday you may have been strangers,
But everyone is now family,
Here everyone knows your name
Table Divide
The holiday
Brings us together,
To tear us apart,
Left and right,
Red and blue,
Black and white,
Whatever divisions we can find,
Round the table,
The war of difference
Our relations will find
to divide
Giving Thanks
I will be thankful,
But will also be aware,
This day is a myth
Be thankful always,
For each breath you may still take,
For what others may not
Know your history,
Not propaganda,
The ugly parts too
Shame warrants action,
Warrants accepting the truth,
Warrants giving back
Thanks and commitment,
To making amends,
No matter the guilt
This is our story,
We choose our next roles,
For that I give thanks
