Tis the siren’s wish
For the sailor’s song to ease
Some of her heart’s ache,
To hint at the feeling still,
Songstress suffers in silence

Too Tough to Taste
We must remember their pain
Let not unease make
Discussing, recognizing “Genocide,”
in it’s various forms,
A topic too tough to taste,
It is in our history,
It is in our blood,
It is in our now,
The stories,
The memories,
The fears,
The politics,
Of a present world,
That we now shape,
It is our duty to make right,
As much as we can,
And to be the seraphim,
Watching over,
To keep a new pain
From beginning again
Truly Enough
You are not perfect,
But you are truly enough,
Your story will tell
Painted Skies
Then, our wish granted!
A day blue with painted skies,
Meant to wander out
Into the natural world,
To find peace again.
The birds will wonder
Why the strange ones will find awe
In land always there,
Simply since their hide is warm,
And no wetness falls from sky.
Broken Feather

Feathers & Twigs
Did the fish emerge
from the sea, and discover
feathers and twigs, and
make from them pens and brushes,
and marvel in art like me?
