Incense

Today I purchased lavender,
myrrh,
dragon’s blood,
frankincense
incense
now as I lay to sleep
the scents linger in my nostrils,
the gentle aromas play
with my imagination,
creating dreamscapes
for me to dream when I close my eyes.
